
Back not all that long ago, lighting reps didn't think much about branding. In fact, they might have been the only sales-driven sector in the world that neglected it so completely. Greg Fisher Lighting Sales, founded in 1983, was a successful small rep agency that had the foresight to realize that the best way to thrive in an increasingly digital world is to establish a strong brand. That's where Open and our lighting expertise came in. We ditched their old logo and created an upbeat, memorable color scheme consisting of Fisher Blue and Fisher Orange, and chose a standard font family of DIN. After many hours of conversation and reflection on the lighting industry, we realized that we needed to not only reflect lighting sales, but also controls sales - hence the name change. We crafted a brand persona of a fun, playful expert, and peppered this throughout their new website. We also created myriad sales tools that FLC's salespeople frequently use, including product and project profiles. The results were tremendous. Their company tripled in size, added such industry giants as GE and LSI to their line card, and generated quite a few imitators (none of whom shall be named).
